Founded in 2024, Valley Labour & Property Services (formerly ValleyTemp) was started to provide homeowners in the Annapolis Valley with dependable labour for property upkeep. Recognizing the growing need for reliable help—especially for tasks that require strength, time, and effort—we take care of the jobs that can be difficult to manage.
With a focus on hard work and attention to detail, we help maintain properties so homeowners can spend less time worrying about managing their yard and more time enjoying it. Whether it’s routine maintenance or one-time projects, we’re here to help.

Our services start at $25/hr per technician, with rates varying by service. Please note that additional costs—such as supplies, materials, extra mileage, and dumping fees—aren’t included.

We believe reliability shouldn’t be a gamble. With our real-time online booking system, scheduling us is easy—and when you do, we show up. No excuses. Unlike many unreliable contractors, we’re fully insured (a rare find for manual labour in Nova Scotia) and committed to professional, high-quality service.
Many of our clients have dealt with no-shows, unfinished work, or shady businesses. We’re here to change that. Our focus is on dependability, quality, and trust, ensuring every job is done right. Plus, we’re always easy to reach if you ever have questions or concerns.
We promise to show up when we said we will! But sometimes things can pop up like bad weather, emergencies, or delays with previously scheduled jobs. If that happens, we’ll let you know right away and come as soon as we can or reschedule you for the earliest time and date that works for both you and for us.
Yes, as of April 1st, 2025, all service orders include a 14% Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) on labour, in accordance with federal and Nova Scotia provincial regulations. We value transparency, so the HST will be clearly itemized on every invoice.
For new clients, payment is due the same day the work is completed. For returning clients, invoices are emailed at the end of the day, with payment due by Friday of that week. If you can’t pay by the due date, please contact us before the invoice is sent to make arrangements. A 10% late fee applies if payment is late without prior arrangement, or if a scheduled payment is missed.
We accept credit and debit card payments at your door. We also accept e-transfers, cheques & cash. Whichever way works best for you, works for us!
