VALLEY LABOUR & PROPERTY SERVICES

Privacy Policy

Updated October 17, 2026

This policy explains how Valley Labour & Property Services, operated by Stephen Klein in Nova Scotia, handles information when you visit our website, contact us or use our services.

Information we collect

When you contact us or request work, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, service address, job details, access instructions, photos, correspondence and billing or payment records. Please only share information and photos needed for your request, and avoid including people, private documents or other sensitive details unnecessarily.

How we use your information

We use this information to respond to enquiries, prepare estimates, arrange and carry out work, send service updates and invoices, keep business records and resolve questions or concerns. We may also use it where needed to meet legal obligations. Access should be limited to people and service providers who need it for these purposes.

Email updates and marketing

Requesting a quote or hiring us does not automatically subscribe you to our marketing list. Our newsletter opt-in is voluntary and separate from service requests. We use MailerLite to manage subscribers and send seasonal reminders and other marketing emails. Where you choose to subscribe, we use your email address to send seasonal reminders, service updates and offers. You can withdraw marketing consent through the unsubscribe option in our emails or by contacting us. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Necessary messages about requested or ongoing work and invoices are separate from marketing.

Job photos

Photos supplied for an estimate are used to assess and plan your work. We may also document job conditions and completed work for service records. We ask for separate permission before using identifiable property or customer photos publicly for marketing. You can ask us about a published photo or withdraw permission for future use by contacting us; we will discuss removal from channels we control, subject to any legal recordkeeping needs.

Website tools and service providers

Our request buttons link to Zenbooker, which processes information submitted through its forms. We use Elfsight to display Google reviews. Website hosting, email, payment and business software providers may process information to provide their services. Some providers may process or store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws.

Our hosting and embedded services may process technical information such as IP address, browser or device information and page requests. Embedded services may use cookies or similar technologies. Review the privacy information provided by Zenbooker when submitting a request, MailerLite when subscribing to emails, and Elfsight’s Privacy Policy for the review widget. Your browser can control cookies, although some features may be affected.

Analytics

We have not added a dedicated analytics or advertising pixel to this version of the website. Before adding analytics, we will update this policy to explain the provider, information collected and purposes, and provide consent choices where required.

Retention and protection

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including service, accounting, tax and legal requirements. Consent and unsubscribe records may be retained to respect your preferences and document compliance. Information no longer needed should be securely deleted or anonymized. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information, while no online system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and privacy questions

You can request access to or correction of your personal information, ask about retention, withdraw consent or raise a privacy concern. We will respond in accordance with applicable law, including any lawful limits on access or deletion. Withdrawing information needed to provide a service may affect our ability to complete it.

Contact Stephen Klein, owner and privacy contact: admin@valleylabour.ca or 902-532-5077. If your concern remains unresolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change. Where a change involves a new purpose requiring consent, we will seek that consent rather than treating a policy update as permission.
